11. Tasmanian wilderness world heritage area

Tasmania is a part of Australia. However, Tasmania is an independent island. So in this area, it has a lot of world heritage sites. Nowadays, most people lives in cities, and do the jobs every day. They always keep busy and make themselves tired. Therefore, people need a place can let them get relax. Tasmania is good choice for them to get close to natural places. Furthermore, there are a lot of world heritage areas that is best natural area in there.

The Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area consists of part of a chain of six national parks and a number of reserves and conservation areas and covers coast, islands, rivers, peaks, valleys and button grass plains of almost indescribable beauty and remoteness.


Tasmania's unique wilderness and five of Tasmania's historic convict sites are listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations as worthy of World Heritage Listing in recognition of their outstanding natural or cultural importance to the common heritage of humanity.
